The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative including divine entities, fiends, and sinister influences growing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Key plot points for the third episode of this adventure follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and revealed the premier party of characters who will separate from the main group to undertake their independent quest, apart from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), Thimble (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.

Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.

What Defines the Combat Party

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who enjoy a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might look unsuited, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a intense first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—exploited the foes for his personal gain, invading the secret base, assaulting the rogue, and stealing all the powerful objects to dispose of.

The traitor then cleared his debts and escaped to a fortified location in the remote area, above the city, with Cyd close behind.

Individual Reasons

Secondly, each character has a individual motive to depart the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the companion and closest confidant, wants retribution.
  • Kattigan knows the northern area and cautions that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having resisted his house’s orders to execute Teor and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their status as important members in the powerful family could enable the group enter locations they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a life debt to The cleric for his salvation and will now accompany him everywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and The cleric betrayed House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This means them no alternative but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.

Future Episodes

Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the Soldiers table will not appear the following episode, leaving the rest of the participants to form the Seekers and Schemers groups.

Fans can look forward to learning which characters will be in which group in the season’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
