An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
